✨ “Some healing is quiet. It arrives like a whisper, a soft decision that rewrites your story and opens the door to freedom.” ✨
There’s a moment that comes after the storms.
after the tears, the anger,
and the sleepless nights spent holding on too tightly.
It isn’t loud or dramatic.
It’s a whisper.
A deep exhale.
A soft decision: I choose peace.
For a long time, I thought forgiveness meant saying, “It’s okay,”
as if those words could erase what happened.
But forgiveness isn’t pretending.
It isn’t forgetting.
It’s choosing to let love back in.
even if that love looks different now.
Carrying resentment feels like armour,
but it’s really just chains,
keeping us tethered to moments
we’ve already outgrown.
Forgiveness is the quiet courage
to set the pain down
so your heart can stay open,
ready to receive what’s meant for it.
It doesn’t mean trust is given lightly,
though it can be rebuilt through gentle consideration – through a simple conversation.
Nor does it mean that boundaries disappear.
It means you’re strong enough
to soften without breaking,
to heal without closing off.
It’s a choice to keep your spirit tender
in a world that often asks us to harden.
But I refuse to.
I will not solidify at the behest of pain.
I choose to remain pliable —
bendable, never breakable.
To forgive, even without ever being told “I’m sorry,”
because softness is rebellion.
Peace is power.
And forgiveness
forgiveness is an open door to freedom.
